Have something you want me to see?
"when you look at someone.. really look at someone, you might see fifty percent of who they are... and wanting to know the rest.. that's what destroys everything."
"What is the feeling when you're driving away from people and they recede on the plain till you see their speck dispersing? .. it's the too-huge world vaulting us, and it's goodbye. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies.."
THIS IS MANY THINGS BUT THAT IS NOWHERE NEAR THE LIST
Exactly. Psychopaths cannot form normative emotional attachments like this. They don’t even see the value in emotional attachments to begin with,m and their brains physiologically cannot recognize it. Loki would actually be a hell of a lot LESS fucked up if he were a psychopath because he wouldn’t be so profoundly emotionally wounded by his outsiderism in his own family.
THANK YOU FOR THIS because that’s exactly why the audience enjoys Loki as a character so much, because he’s NOT just a psychopath or a monster or anything. He is deeply emotionally scarred because he has been craving for love and attention all his life and he didn’t receive it the way he wanted, and when people finally show their sympathy, he is torn between trying to act like he doesn’t need it and admitting to himself that this is all he ever wanted. And I was so thankful that they put this scene in, because it shows that Loki cares a lot. He wouldn’t even try to argue with Frigga if he didn’t care. The last gif shows how hurt he is that he can’t be close to his mother. Loki is a very complex person, and I hate it when people brush him off as “just” a villain, who is evil just for the sake of it.
